“Why do I pay a month of service before my miner even starts hashing?”
It’s a fair question. Here’s exactly what that payment is, where it goes, and how you get it back.
💡 What It Is
Before we energize each rig, you prepay one month of its service: the Prepaid Monthly Service Fee. You may have seen it called the First Month’s Service Fee or FMSF on older invoices. Same charge, new name.
It’s one month of power for that rig at its rated consumption and your site’s rate per kWh, with no markup. The exact figure for each rig is itemized at checkout before you pay.
🔒 It Stays on Your Account
This part is easy to get wrong, so let’s be precise: the Prepaid Monthly Service Fee is not used up as your rig runs.
Your monthly power is billed separately, every month, based on what your rig actually uses. The prepaid month stays on your account for as long as the rig is hosted with us. If your site’s rate per kWh changes, it is adjusted to match the new rate.
🔄 How You Get It Back
When you leave, we settle your account. The prepaid month is applied to anything still owed (for example, your last month of service), and whatever is left over is refunded to you within 30 days after your equipment is removed. If you transfer a rig to another Sazminer, its prepaid month is credited back to you and the new owner prepays their own.
It doesn’t earn interest, and it isn’t an extra cost. It’s your money, held against your final bill.

Bitcoin mining isn’t magic. It’s a real-world activity that turns electricity into sound money. We commit to power for every rig we plug in, and the prepaid month makes sure that commitment is covered from day one through the day you leave.
We’d rather put that up front and in writing than bury it in a rate. Bitcoiners like knowing exactly where their sats are going.

We don’t mark up electricity (or rigs).
Many hosting providers quietly bake profit into their power rates. We don’t.
Our only compensation comes from the clearly stated management fee (% share of the block reward), which covers operations and world-class customer service.
This means our success is 100% tied to your mining success. We only win when you’re winning — by mining wild sats as efficiently as possible!
